All I can say is “Yummy”. I went out on a limb and came up with a dessert that tastes so much like the original, minus the gluten and dairy. You will have to try this for Mother’s Day. Strawberry Pretzel Dessert – Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free
2 c. Glutino Gluten-Free Pretzel Twists
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. Spectrum Organic Butter Flavored Shortening- Melted
Preheat oven to 400. Pulse pretzels in food processor or blender. Pour crumbs in 8×8 in. pan. Add sugar and combine. Pour in melted shortening and pat into a crust. Bake about 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.
1 3oz. pkg of strawberry jello
1c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. Purely Decadent Vanilla Bean Coconut Milk Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert- Softened
2 1/2 c. frozen whole strawberries
Dissolve jello in 1c. boiling water. Chop frozen strawberries in food processor. Stir strawberries and non-dairy frozen dessert to combine. Stir into the dissolved jello. Pour onto cooled crust. Refrigerate for a few hours until set. Slice and serve. Enjoy!
